The August long weekend goes by many different names in Canada. And of the four long weekends celebrated during the summer, is the only long weekend that does not have a consistent name across the country. Hotels.com needed a name for their August long weekend sale, so to leverage this fun fact, we put it out into the Twitterverse to find one. The results? Almost 12 million impressions, +6.2 lift in brand favourability, and a new unofficial name for the August long weekend.
